Situated at the edge of Armory Square in Syracuse, NY, the Rail Line is a modern events, meetings and gathering space. Our facility is a refined industrial complex built atop a classic Syracuse train trestle. Rail Line offers indoor seating; a full service bar; a large, ground-level courtyard; a private, exterior courtyard outside the dining and bar area; and rooftop access with garden.

We've utilized the majority of the space for this purpose in order to provide fresh, locally-grown produce to our partner restaurants and catering companies. Adjacent to the garden is a patio with seating and a nice view of the courtyard below and the surrounding neighborhood.

Facility rental includes the exclusive use of the entire venue indoors and outdoors any time of day/night you choose, plus setup early access; cash bar with bartender(s); 3 levels of outdoor space; parking lot; tables and chairs (10 4-seat dining, 14 2-seat high-top, 68 chairs plus 16 bar stools at bar inside, as well as patio furniture on 2 levels outside); customer use of sound system to stream music from a mobile device via Bluetooth; TV/AV equipment; use of the caterers’ kitchen prep space with tables, shelves, 3-bay sink, coolers and hot-hold unit/warming oven. We may also include patio heaters/fire pit tables and other amenities for some events.
Weddings and certain special events may also include more such as: event planning assistance and meetings, vendor and caterer coordination, days before/after for setup/delivery (eg. tent rental setup in courtyard), special A/V equipment and tech support, catering amenities, patio heaters and fire pits, and more.
Every event is special and unique, and we can provide extra levels of service and amenities. We invite you to schedule a tour and we'll answer questions, provide suggestions for your event, and give you a customer quote to provide everything needed to make your event a great success!
Please Note: The parking lot at street level on the other side of our fence is for Clinton Plaza residents ONLY. Rail Line guests are not permitted to park there and the apartment manager may tow vehicles.
Rail Line provides our guests the opportunity to design their own party and theme, and as a part of this you have the option to choose your own caterer/restaurant and type of food. We can provide you with a list of great caterers and partners that often work here, but you're free to hire any restaurant/caterer. We'll work with you and the caterer to answer questions, coordinate arrival time, and meet the catering staff for setup. While we don't have a full, cooking kitchen, Rail Line does provide a prep kitchen space with coolers, hot-hold unit, sinks, prep tables, and storage space.
Rail Line can provide additional tables for food, desserts, gifts, etc. but please keep in mind when talking to a caterer they (or you) must setup the food and supply everything related to the food service and setup. In some cases we may be able to assist with chafing dishes, plates, utensils, sternos, etc. Please ask about our add-on amenities and pricing.
You may also opt to bring in or have special desserts and treats delivered from a separate vendor. We have a few on our list that include ice cream sundae bars, cookie platters, donuts, and more.
Yes the venue is accessible for people with disabilities from our parking lot, however, there is no elevator from the street-level entrance on S. Clinton. All stairs can be avoided by driving/walking from our parking lot street ramp entrance.
Our parking lot is adjacent and on the railroad wall. If you go UP the ramp to the lot – BEFORE you pass the Clinton Plaza apartment tower when heading South on S. Clinton – you may park in the lot and from the lot there are no stairs to the main entrance. There is an entrance sidewalk and ramp that is 50” wide from the parking lot to the main entrance.

Free off-street parking & easy accessibility
Rail Line offers guests convenient, free parking in our lot adjacent to the building and railroad tracks. The parking lot entrance ramp is located just North of the building on S. Clinton. The venue is accessible for people with disabilities from our parking lot / building level. For more detailed instructions and a map, please visit our Location and Parking page.
